About Us

The BPR is a youth and student-led organization with a primary focus on Lebanon and the MENA region at large in the realm of policy, politics, and society. Part of our work involves regularly publishing op-eds (opinion-based articles) where writers can voice their thoughts on the issues of the day, asserting themselves in local and international conversations via our platform.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking prolific writers to join our team of columnists and contributors. Columnists and contributors produce op-eds to be published in our 'Opinions' section.

  • Columnists are expected to write at least 2 to 3 op-eds per month, for at least 3 months.
  • Contributors are expected to write at least 1 op-ed per month, for at least 3 months.
  • Op-eds are generally 750 to 900 words long. Read our guidelines for more details on what an op-ed should look like.

Successful Applicants Must:

  1. Commit to meeting strict deadlines.
  2. Communicate regularly with our editorial team on their progress.
  3. Show evidence of skilled writing; or a healthy attitude towards learning from our editors.
  4. Understand that this is not a place for polemics, but a place for constructive dialogue and critical analysis.

This Application Is Always Open.

For any questions concerning the application process or about work as a staff writer, send an email to explaining your inquiry to editor@beirutpoliticalreview.org
